Howdy!
I’m a copywriter with a degree in art direction and graphic design. Funny how things work out, ain’t it?
Currently, I’m working with Bloomberg Media Group, copywriting for social and digital campaigns, and helping them grow their advertising, design, and consulting departments. I’ve worked with teams there on social media strategy and planning, new digital activation possibilites, how to best utilize their social and digital channels to reach their audience, and provided creative direction for their ever growing suite of ad products. Its been a very bizarre and eye opening expierence to have direct access to the data and information the company is known for. Plus, working from a Terminal is pretty cool.
Before Bloomberg, I spent two years working at a very large corporate ad agency, where I learned a lot about how those kinds of places work and wrote national social, digital, and traditional campaigns. Now I can confidently say there is not a step of the typical agency creative process I find myself unfamiliar with. While at that agency I worked on clients like Tyson Foods, MTV, Cirque Du Soleil, Dannon, America’s NAVY, The Port Authority of NY & NJ, JPMorgan Chase & Co., PETA, Dell and more. I also contributed to new business pitches, including some that we won! That was cool.
Being a ~young millennial~ who’s long been an avid user of ~social media~ (I’ve been on Twitter for over ten years and Instagram for over seven) I often contribute to conversations and client facing materials regarding social media best practices, planning, and strategy. I’m also a tech geek, so I’m often able to find interesting ways to use new technologies to create “unique experiences” for both clients and their audience (think virtual reality and livestreaming.)
Outside of work-related things, I’m a passable amateur chef and bartender, jazz nerd, deadhead, big fan of the upside down smiley face emoji, and surfer. I used to be a fashion blogger, but don’t worry, I’m okay now. I’m tons of fun at parties and have gotten pretty good at pretending I know what I’m talking about when it comes to sports.
I’m currently available for freelance work on a project basis.
Thanks for stopping by!
